Michigan Vascular Access Center (MVAC) opened it's doors in September 2005. The office provides a "one- stop" location for patients in need of hemodialysis access, and for fistula maintenance. Here, Michigan Vascular Specialists are able to non-invasively evaluate the arteries and veins in order to plan the optimum fistula. Fistula, graft or central vein problems can also be corrected using minimally-invasive techniques in our fully equipped endovascular suite. Conscious sedation and monitoring is also available to ensure patient comfort.
The office is located at the Surgery Center of Flint, with a convenient location and easy parking. Hours are by appointment 5 days a week, and same- day appointments are provided for patients in need of urgent dialysis. Most patients are referred by one's Nephrologist or Family Physician, but word-of-mouth referrals are growing rapidly. We're very pleased to provide this service to the dialysis community of Mid-Michigan!
